The singer was clearly honored to receive the awards at one of the biggest music ceremonies celebrating music from throughout the Americas and Spain.

"All the Latinos here, just as I did back when, they have a dream. All they need, as Juan Luis Guerra says, is a visa for a dream," She said upon receiving her trophies, citing the Dominican singer's single, "A Visa for a Dream."

Puerto Rican star Ricky Martin also received acknowledgement for his campaign against trafficking in prostituted children, receiving the Latin Grammy's 'Man Of The Year'. He accepted with his clear message: "To those traffickers, we are at war."
