Simon Lynge To Headline Radio Benefit
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Simon Lynge Official Website) Simon Lynge, the Greenlandic singer/songwriter who has seen success throughout Europe over the past two years will headline a benefit concert for radio station KSER in Port Townsend, Wa. The concert takes place at 7pm on May 11 at the Historic Hartley Mansion in Everett, Wa. Lynge lives in the area.

Lynge is the first musical artist from Greenland to release an album across Europe, and the first Greenlander to play the UK's Glastonbury Festival. Lynge has performed extensively across Europe and the United States and accompanied Emmylou Harris on her 2011 tour of Europe.

His debut album on London based Lo Max Records, The Future, (named Album of the Week by MDR (radio and TV in Germany) introduces Simon as a fully-formed contender for major success. It was recorded at Bright Orange Studios in Los Angeles with co-producers Matt Forger (Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney) and Jon Mattox (The Young Dubliners).

The Future entered the BBC UK charts at #22 one day after its release. It also hit #1 on the Amazon.com UK Rock charts and #14 on iTunes. German Rolling Stone did a two page feature on this new artist and Simon, when still very new to the international music scene received recognition equal to a seasoned veteran. ABC-TV's hit show Brothers and Sisters featured the title track to The Future on their second show of the 2010 Fall season.

England's Music Week magazine said, "Counting Elliott Smith and Nick Drake among his influences, Lynge's music is a brand of quite faultless melodic rich pop."
