LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Jordan & Associates) - Jay Leno will host the national debut of one of the nation's top musical prodigies, six year old Ethan Bortnick. Ethan will perform on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday, May 10th.

The young pianist will bring new meaning to the phrase "tickle the ivories" during his solo renditions of Bach's Minuet, Mozart's Alla Turca, Joplin's Entertainer and his own original composition.

His small legs dangle halfway to the floor and his equally tiny hands struggle to span a half octave, but don't let this pint-sized pianist fool you. This virtuoso can perform over 200 classical music compositions and does so with poise and an assuredness that is certain to unsettle those who still struggle with Chop Sticks.

"He's a sweet little boy who just happens to have this remarkable memory and a natural gift to memorize music by ear and then play it back so beautifully," commented Ethan's parents who reside in Hollywood, FL. "It's almost startling to watch his little hands try to keep up with the music in his head. Every inch that he grows will give him so much more freedom to express himself."

Born in December 2000, the young pianist, composer and artist started reading at age two and speaks both Russian and English - the first due to his family heritage and his affinity for Russian musicians and composers. Now able to read music, he no longer relies entirely on his "perfect" pitch thanks to music mentors Mila Vaserstein and Dr. Irena Kofman.

Ethan's inspiring live performances have captivated children and adults alike. He has performed at large events, jazz festivals and on CBS's "The Early Show." He received a perfect score at the National Piano Playing Auditions of the American College of Musicians, received superior ratings in various categories at the NFMC, and has won numerous awards including his recent 1st Place win in the Pompano Beach Piano Competition competing against dozens of pianists up to age 16. Ethan was recently named the 1st Place Winner in the state of Florida for the Florida Federation of Music Club.
