Sony/ATV Signs "All About The Bass" Songwriter Kevin Kadish In Worldwide Deal
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ SONY/ ATV) Sony/ATV Music Publishing has today announced it has signed Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Kevin Kadish to a worldwide deal.

The long-term agreement includes the global hit "All About The Bass", which he co-wrote with Meghan Trainor and has been a No. 1 hit around the world, including spending the last five weeks topping the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S.

Martin Bandier, Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO, said: "We're really excited at Sony/ATV to have Kevin Kadish as an exclusive songwriter. 'All About The Bass' is clearly one of the biggest songs of the year and we know there is a lot more to come from him."

Danny Strick, Sony/ATV Co-president, said: "We are thrilled to have signed Kevin and look forward to working with him as a key player on the Sony/ATV roster. The international success of 'All About That Bass' is a testament to his abilities as a writer and producer. We are looking forward to seeking new collaborative opportunities for him across the globe."

Kevin Kadish said: "I'm excited to start this new chapter in my career with Sony/ATV. From their amazing creative staff, to their thorough collections, I think they're the perfect fit for me. I'm honored to be in the Sony family."

Under Kadish, 20-year-old Meghan Trainor has emerged as one of the biggest new music stars of the year. He not only co-wrote her debut single "All About The Bass", but programmed the drums and bass, played guitar and produced it. It has to date sold 2.7 million downloads in the States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and been certified two-times platinum by the RIAA, while topping the Hot 100 chart as well as Billboard's Digital, Radio and Streaming countdowns simultaneously.

"All About The Bass" has also been a substantial hit around the world, including in the U.K. where it debuted at No. 1 with the second highest weekly sales of the year, having previously become the first song in chart history to make the Top 40 there based on streams alone. It has additionally topped the charts in a number of other countries, including Germany, Canada and Australia.

Kadish has co-penned and produced Trainor's next single "Lips Are Movin'", while has eight co-writes lined up on her debut album, which is expected to be released by Epic Records late this year.

Besides Trainor, he has worked with a diverse range of other artists, including Miley Cyrus, American Idol winners Kris Allen and Taylor Hicks, Jason Mraz, Meat Loaf, Willie Nelson, former Journey frontman Steve Perry and Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx. He wrote the hits "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life and "Stuck" for Stacie Orrico and these combined have sold more than 11 million copies worldwide through album sales, soundtracks and compilations. His work with Mraz on the album "Mr. A-Z" for which he co-wrote and produced the singles "Wordplay" and "Geek In The Pink" secured him a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album.
