New York, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Sullivan Room) - He opened up 2007 at the Sullivan Room back in January, and now Detroit's versatile decknician STACEY PULLEN is back for Basic NYC to headline on Saturday, December 15. This will be Stacey's third visit to the Sullivan Room this year, and just like the last two, this night will feature Pullen's explosive DJ repertoire and mixing skills on full display.

Stacey is an artist who takes his music very seriously. Schooled in the art of techno with a first-hand education from the Detroit masters, Stacey's phenomenal DJing skills consistently wow crowds around the world, week in and week out. This summer has seen him crisscrossing the globe, leaving a wake of devastated dancefloors in his path. From Ibiza's notorious DC-10, to the massive Monegros techno festival in Spain, to a huge hometown set at this year's Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Stacey's sets have reinforced his reputation as a party-rocker with a knack for finding the right record to take the crowd over the edge.

His two previous Sullivan Room sets have both been for the books, as Stacey took a packed house on a tour of contemporary house and techno. Steadily building the energy of a room to a fever pitch, Pullen's sets seamlessly weaved between a housey jack and hypnotic, melodic techno. Both appearances were only hints at the range he has a DJ.

In addition to Pullen's headlining this will be the fourth NYC installment of "Hi-Tek Soul". The party and concept, founded by fellow Detroit pioneer Derrick May, brings techno music back to its motor city roots – recalling the futuristic vision and expansive musical outlook that helped launch the worldwide techno movement.

Also spinning on the night will be NYC's Eric Andrew, who has earned rave reviews for his previous Basic NYC opening sets. Danny Sullivan, label head of Physical Graffiti (the new underground-focused Strictly Rhythm sublabel) gets the party started. Basic NYC residents Sleepy & Boo close out the night for this special event. Be ready for plenty of Holiday surprises as we celebrate the season with one of our favorites.
