Others are simply timeless," said Ken Lombard, president, Starbucks Entertainment. "It was a tremendous honor to work with The Recording Academy and Shout! Factory to create this unique collection of GRAMMY Award-winning songs for our customers."
"A GRAMMY song is one that has done the impossible. It has burned itself into your DNA. GRAMMY songs are our shared history," writes Quincy Jones - 27-time GRAMMY Award winner and The Recording Academy's 50th Celebration Ambassador - in the 50th Anniversary Collection's liner notes. "These songs represent the best of the GRAMMY Awards' first 50 years. These are B-A-A-A-D-D songs. They're in the pocket; they've got the groove, the melody and the vocals that make them timeless."
The GRAMMYs - 50th Anniversary Collection is a co-release by Starbucks Entertainment and Shout! Factory.
