New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Black Keys will tape a performance for Austin City Limits on Monday, November 17, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. The band will be making its second appearance on the PBS series Austin City Limits, the longest-running live music television series, now celebrating its 40th season. The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney made their ACL debut in Season 36 around the release of their 2010 album Brothers. For information on how to get free passes to the show about a week before the taping, visit acltv.com and follow the show on Facebook and Twitter for notice of postings.
The Black Keys are currently in the midst of the latest North American leg of a world tour following the release of their latest album, Turn Blue, earlier this year.
The Calgary Herald, reviewing last night's show at the Saddledome, says they "deliver[ed] in a big, big way." Reviewer Mike Bell reports: "It felt like a club show, but was still large and in charge enough to satisfy those who were looking for something on a grander scale. And to their credit, it was entirely on the strength of the songs, and the tight, taut, tank-like performances of tunes that were written to blow minds and speakers with equal disregard and abandon."
To pick up a copy of Turn Blue, head to iTunes or the Top40-Charts.com Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a free MP3 download of the complete album at checkout.
