The Northern Gets Personal On New Track
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Substance abuse is something that effects many people whether it's a personal struggle or someone close to them. The Northern released their new single "Umbra", that touches on the topic and is an extremely personal track to the band.

Guitarist Eric Leblanc opens up about the single, "Umbra is about the dark shadow cast in the wake of substance abuse, personally touching on the feelings of hopelessness and loss of control. In essence a total eclipse of the illuminating good forces in life."

The powerful lyrics, "The devil who once perched on my shoulder now dwells inside my head. The bottle is the only thing to silence the deafening sound it spreads" shows the inner battle that can happen when someone hits rock bottom.

"Umbra" is the second single off the band's upcoming Tragic Hero Records debut album, 'Solstice' and is available for pre-order at Merchbucket.
