New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Pitchfork just premiered the full stream of Walter Martin of the Walkmen's debut solo album ahead of its release next week, building a player that showcases the 10 watercolor paintings that accompany each song (created by renowned illustrator Marcellus Hall). The album features guest appearances by members of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the National, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Walter's Walkmen bandmates.

This month, Walter plays his debut shows in NYC (May 16 at Joe's Pub and May 18 at Littlefield) and Philly (May 10 at World Cafe Live).
The Joe's Pub show will feature the Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser conducting a choir and appearances by Kat Edmonson, Matt Barrick (The Walkmen), and a very special guest who sings on Walter's album. The Littlefield show will feature ice cream flavors inspired by the album created by Bon Appetit magazine and Ample Hills Creamery.
