NEW YORK (By Tiffany Shipp/ Ken Sunshine Consultants) - Rock'n The Rally Music Festival organizers have confirmed that Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, who are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of their first album, and the multi-platinum Joe Cocker will top off the festival's Wednesday bill. Also announced today, the Tuesday line-up will be co-headlined by Nickelback and the Black Crowes and will include Live and Gin Blossoms. The new music festival's debut week will run from August 6th to August 10th at a brand new 34-acre amphitheater housed on the 1,000-acre Glencoe Camp Resort during the 66th Annual Sturgis Bike Week in Sturgis, South Dakota. Other artists confirmed include Sammy Hagar, Big & Rich, Keith Urban, the Steve Miller Band, Cheap Trick, John Kay with Steppenwolf, Fabulous Thunderbirds, REO Speedwagon, .38 Special, Foghat, Georgia Satellites, Gregg Rolie, Shooter Jennings, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. Ticket prices range from $50 to $70 and are available at www.starticketsplus.com.

'We've built this event from scratch,' says event producer Mark Russo of Dork Fish Ink. 'It's immensely satisfying to announce that the debut year of Rock'n The Rally will feature some of the most respected and iconic performers in rock music.'

Construction on the Rock'n The Rally site began in September '05 at the Glencoe Camp Resort and represents an $11,000,000 investment. Glencoe owner, Gary Lippold and festival producers, Dork Fish Ink, have worked for the past two years planning Rock'n The Rally to become an annual event, limitless in scope and scale. Plans for the music fest span the next ten years, indicating a massive commitment which allows the possibility for long-term partnerships.

Although music events have occurred during Sturgis Bike Week in years past, this will be the debut of a stand-alone festival staged over the course of five days. By planning the festival alongside a famed event that boasts a world-record attendance of its own, Rock'n The Rally's organizers seek to enhance Bike Week for its attendees.

'Sturgis Bike Week is a celebration of independence and freedom, the same concepts that define Rock 'n Roll,' says property owner Gary Lippold, 'We're bringing a new music festival to Bike Week in a classy way, with superior sound and impeccable production, to give our guests a great concert experience.'
Rock'n The Rally's main stage line-up starts at 4:30pm each day, headliners in caps: Doors open at 11am, entertainment starts at 11:30am

About Rock'n The Rally and its Organizers
Rock'n The Rally will be the first music festival of its kind at an event that has been a destination for travelers and bike enthusiasts from around the world for the past 66 years. The concert event will be housed on 34-acres of the 1,000-acre Glencoe Camp Resort owned by Gary Lippold. Lippold's 'Glencoe Nation' encompasses the Glencoe Camp Resort, Sturgis Bike Week Productions, Thunder Road/Thunder Dome, Sturgis Bike Week, Inc., Sturgis Dragstrip, Kickstart Travel Center, the Sturgis Rally News, and its newest addition – Rock'n The Rally. Lippold, along with Dork Fish Ink of Albuquerque, New Mexico, have developed a concept of festival operation, site design, and production based on Bike Week's unique environment.

Dork Fish Ink President Pat Wood, an investment and banking consultant and lobbyist, approached Lippold in 2004 with the concept for Rock'n The Rally. Wood is joined by partners Mark Russo and Joe Bufalino to design, produce, and promote the event. Bufalino has been producing concerts for 35 years and has acted as tour manager, promoter, agent, and manager throughout his career. Mark Russo has spent 30 years in the industry and has been Lighting Designer, Stage Designer, and Production Manager for acts like Cheap Trick, Tim McGraw, The Judds, and 3 Doors Down. Also onboard is music agent Bobby Lee, and Lisa Bennett, Sr. Vice President of branding and marketing powerhouse, NCOMPASS INTERNATIONAL INC.
