New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Troye Sivan graces the cover of Billboard's 2018 Pride Issue and discusses marketing to straight fans, working with Max Martin's Wolf Cousins group and his upcoming sophomore album 'Bloom.'
"I came out publicly because I had been out in my private life for like three years already at that point and it had just become a real non-issue in my life," Sivan says. "I was super, super lucky that my family and friends were all really supportive."
"I had like the ideal coming out experience and it also happened to be that at the time I had this really big YouTube audience and when I was sort of coming to terms with my own sexuality," he continues, adding that he used the platform as a resource to find like-minded people who were going through the same thing that he was.

The " Bloom" singer also shares some words of wisdom for young LGBTQ people who might be struggling, advising them to take the time to figure themselves out. "I think that the most important thing is knowing yourself," Sivan says.
"And getting to a point where you feel comfortable enough that no matter what life throws at you, that you're kind of equipped to deal with that personally. Regardless of how your immediate world takes it, there is 100% a world out there where people are gonna love you for exactly who you are."
