New York, NY (Beach Plaza Hotel) - New York's infamous Sullivan Room returns to Miami for the 2006 Winter Music Conference/M3 Summit with a double dose of beat fiestas. The reigning Nightstalker Award winner will be hosting two events this year: a Thursday day/evening showcase featuring NYC locals, and a Saturday all-nighter packed with some of the Sullivan Room's all-star DJs.

2005 was a big year for the Sullivan Room in Miami. The venue walked away from the Club World Awards as the winner of the Nightstalker Award, the "people's choice" award for clubbing. To celebrate, the Sullivan Room invaded Teasers for a two-room barrage of beats that was named "arguably the most fired up party of the conference" by the Resident Advisor web site.

The 2006 mayhem gets underway Thursday, March 23rd, as the Sullivan Room takes over the tropical gardens of the Beach Plaza Hotel (1401 Collins Ave.) for a daylong showcase featuring some of NYC's top local DJs. This free event will be the ideal kickoff for the conference, a perfect opportunity to meet-and-greet and check out beats from the locals who keep the Sullivan Room humming week in and week out. Whether hitting up the BBQ, lounging on deck chairs, or grooving on the dancefloor, partygoers will be treated to sets from Serge AKA JYD, DJ Fame, Miss Blue Sky, Downdeep, the EJC Collective, Rich Foster, David Josephs, Alex Pearce, Michael Hime, Stadenco, Bronzie, People NYC (Eric Martinez, Kenneth L, Greg James), and Sleepy & Boo, the organizers of this year's Beach Plaza Miami events.

By Saturday night, the Miami partygoing population should be suitably twisted, and ready to check out the Sullivan Room's main event: an all-night club session at the Angel Ultra Lounge (247 23rd Street). Formerly known as Nerve, this venue boasts a thumping Phazon sound system and an ample dancefloor, both of which will be pushed to the limits by the all-star lineup of DJs descending on the venue. The locals will once again set things off from (with 3 Speaker High's Rob Keith joining the fray), before handing over the decks to a sampling of some of the DJs who have rocked Sully over the last year. Patrick Turner, Phil Weeks, Jay Tripwire, D:Fuse, the Scumfrog, Behrouz, Hipp-E and Asad Rizvi will all be banging it 'till the morning, with San Francisco's Sen-Sei adding live synth enhancement on keyboards throughout the night. This party is an official WMC and M3 Passport event, and with music running for over 12 hours, it should be one for the WMC books.

On Sunday night, the winner of the 2006 Nightstalker Award will be named at the Club World Awards ceremony. Will the Sullivan Room walk away victorious once again? Sounds like it's time for a party, either way.
