U.K. Boy Band Sensation Frixion Plan Canadian Invasion

Toronto, Ontario (Top40 Charts/ Frixion Official Website) Hot on the heals of One Direction and The Wanted, U.K. boy band sensation Frixion are set for a Canadian invasion with the release of their debut album Thankful May 28, 2013 via DEP/Universal.

In the U.K., "Under The Influence" and "Falling In Love" both hit #2 on Starz Tv most requested video chart as the album debuted at #9 after the first day of release on the U.K. R&B/Soul Charts.

Neil Painter and David Stanton met in college and decided to start a new boy band with an R&B edge. After holding open auditions they found Johnny Wright and Frixion was formed. They signed to Famecity Entertainment, the home of FDM after being scouted by President/CEO David Martin Wade.

The Birmingham and Blackpool born 3-piece soon re-located to London to concentrate on further touring as they supported artists such as Jessie J, The Wanted, Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, Dizzee Rascal, Olly Murs, Chipmunk and Alexandra Burke. Frixion was also one of N-DUBZ official support acts for their 'Uncle B' UK Tour.

In 2010, Frixion released their debut single "Afraid" featuring vocals from FDM and hit the Top 20 on the U.K. R&B Club Charts. The trio's soulful vocals and first-class songwriting had them working with industry-leading producers and songwriters that are behind some of Europe's best selling artists, such as Davinchi (Estelle, Michelle Gayle), Grant Mitchell (Seal, Trevor Horn, Wet Wet Wet) and Judd Mahoney (Michael Jackson, Backstreet Boys, Boyz 11 men).

"We are living our dreams, after four years of hard work things are starting to take off in a big way for us," says Stanton. Painter continues, "we've had three hit singles and have two more videos that are already getting some great feedback, it's an exciting time."

The boys arrive in Canada at the end of May for media appearances and promotional events followed by a tour this summer. "We love Canada," exclaims Wright, "we feel very privileged to be launching our North American debut in such a beautiful part of the world."
