U2 is just the latest to join the wide ranging list of artists to premiere their albums on MTV.com's and VH1.com. Norah Jones and Sting were the latest big music acts to participate in VH1.com's exclusive advance listen program "VH1 Hear Music First."
MTV.com's "The Leak" has featured exclusive album premieres from such high profile artists including Usher, D12, Nelly and Green Day just to name a few. In fact, as part of MTV's Spankin New Music Week beginning November 8th, MTV.com's "The Leak" will debut new albums by Destiny's Child, Eminem, Lil' Jon & The Eastside Boyz and Chingy.
Both programs have proven to have a positive impact on the first week sales of many participating artists' new releases, even contributing to the biggest first week sales ever for some.
