LONDON, UK (Fresh Sounds) - Thursday 16th September will see 4 of the UK's best hip-hop artists performing at the Meanfiddler, London Astoria 2, where they will be showcased to record labels, management companies and other music industry members.

Taskforce, rated as the UK number one on the hip-hop scene will headline the show with the mighty heir live Rawdog, who have performed with them on some of the biggest occasions such as the Peace Not War Festival along with big names such as Mark B and Blade, Stereo MC's, Alabama 3, Skinnyman and Pandit G (Asian Dub Foundation).
The Taskforce duo Chester P and Farma G, are mutating into one of UK Hip-Hop's most formidable outfits, the duo garnering a dedicated following of international Hip-Hop heads with an ear for hardcore rhymes, intelligent flow and an intrinsically Taskforce comedic word play.

Taskforce and Rawdog will be supported by fresh new talent Carpetface. This unconscious joy of an artist is fresh from his third tour of New York and is returning from the Burning Man Festival, Nevada, where he preformed with a variety of household name,s which will add to the growing list of artists he has already performed alongside; Faithless, Stereo MC's, Alabama 3, Skinnyman, Blade, DJ Rubbish, and Roots Man to name but a few.

The hip-hop, funk Reggae Outfitter, already has reviewers stumbling at him, record labels lining up, and agents engaged 24 hours a day for bookings. Known as the 'busiest man on the scene, a PR machine', whose music is 'dance-floor friendly hip-hop with very interesting tripped out production and cool sun choruses' – Rough Trade Records, he is tipped as the next international superstar.

Shorty are another one of the most respected artists on the Urban music scene, who will open for Carpetface. Shorty are Winners of the DIESEL-U-MUSIC Hip Hop Award 2002, London winners & National runners up in the "liveanduncut" music awards, and Runners-Up of the MOBO Unsigned Awards.

Opening the extravaganza will be the much talked about Freefall Collective, whose breakbeat/funk/hip-hop tunes have been ripping up the south coast and London for the last few years. Seen at many of the rawest nights in the country, with performances at squat parties across London and at some of the best the underground hip-hop circuit has to offer, the music scene is envisioning labels with checkbooks at the ready. With a 70s feel to their funk, crossovers with soul, transgressions of hip-hop and breaks, earning them the title of 'smoothest band in the Urban scene,' this is one of the most talented outfits since legends that are Curtis Blow, Sugar Hill Gang and Rappers Delight.
