New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Aneek Chaudhuri, an Indian filmmaker of Bengali origin came up with the great concept of reviving American folk music in India with his project, Urban Voice. Also known as Jibon Ebong Susmit, the film was screened in Kolkata last month and now, it is all set to be screened in New Delhi followed by its DVD release at India Habitat Center on 28th Feb 2016 at 7:00 p.m. sharp. The film also focuses on the life of an Urban Folk musician in India, Susmit Bose who initiated this form in the country four decades ago and composed songs for justice and stood against child abuse, labour abuse etc. Urban Voice also marked his presence once again in India which was actually diluted by lack of media intervention those days and later being overpowered by other contemporary artists. The event is likely to be attended by bureaucrats,
musicians, cartoonists, and many other persons from the field of fine arts. Aneek is finally able to echo the presence of an unsung music genre in India with the film, Urban Voice.
