'Death Won't Send A Letter' Set for For Sept 29 Release On Black Seal Records

This week iTunes offers the new video for Cory Chisel's "Born Again" as a free download as the 'Music Video of the Week.' The song, a haunting, defiant renegade's tale, was co-written with Brendan Benson who also plays bass on the track.
After a widely acclaimed 2008 EP 'Cabin Ghosts,' relentless touring, and months spent in the studio, Cory Chisel's 'Death Won't Send A Letter,' his debut full-length cd for Black Seal Records, is coming out September 29. The album is currently available digitally via iTunes for $5.99 and is currently Top 10 on the Alternative and Top 50 on the overall music charts.
'Death Won't Send A Letter' was recorded primarily at Blackbird studios in Nashville, with Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The Shins, The White Stripes) at the helm. In addition to the aforementioned, others who contributed to the album include My Morning Jacket guitarist Carl Broemel, bassist "Little Jack" Lawrence (Raconteurs, The Dead Weather), drummer Patrick Keeler (The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes), and Cory's longtime backing vocalist/keyboard player Adriel Harris.
Cory will tour with Joshua James for much of September with headlining record release parties confirmed in his hometown of Appleton, WI and Chicago, IL. Additionally, Cory will headline a NY show at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall on Oct. 10.
