Cardi B Also Thinks Giving Guns To Teachers Is A Stupid Idea
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida has reinvigorated gun control advocates and left President Donald Trump offering a range of ineffectual proposals to ostensibly counter school shootings. Trump's most controversial suggestion has been to arm certain school teachers with guns, an idea condemned by public health experts, teachers, and now, Cardi B.
Taking to Instagram, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper posted a meme of LeBron James grimacing under this message: "y'all want teacher to effectively prepare our youth, carry straps, and bust back at school shooters but at the same time only pay them $40,000 a year."

Cardi's own caption reads: "Imagine a old ass female teacher bussing a burner…This man really out his mind. America must be entertainment to other countries."
She added another IG post about the matter, which reads: "Ya wanna know what's the problem? That the government only put metal detectors in school in the HOOD!"
She recalled memories of her own childhood. "I remember getting search every morning in high school," she wrote. "Even parents who picked up they kids got searched."

Bartier Cardi has been bashing Trump since his inauguration. Last year, she criticized his response to Puerto Rico's hurricane crisis. Earlier this year, she said his comments about other countries being "shitholes" were "disgusting."

In January, Bardi also participated in a Grammy skit lampooning Trump by reading a passage from Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. This month, she also addressed the current administration in her i-D cover story.
"People like Donald Trump, they're always going to make us feel like we're less. But it's okay, because a bitch like me knows the truth," she said. "It don't matter if the government and the Republicans try to make us feel like we're not, cos we is. I know the truth…We run the shit! We influence. We run everything."
