LOS ANGELES (Geffen Records) - MTV2 today announced it will set loose across
America with some of hip hop's hottest artists for the "MTV2 Sucker Free Concert Series presented by am Toyota Corolla." Giving fans an unforgettable, free live show right in their home town, the concert series will showcase artists featured regularly on MTV2's "Sucker Free Sundays" programming block. Performing on various dates of the concert series include Mike Jones, Juvenile,
Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz, Slim Thug, Trillville, Lil Scrappy,
Black Sheep, Da Backwudz, Young Jeezy, Doug E. Fresh,
Juelz Santana and others. Hosted by DJ Rob Dinero and FLX, the free concert series will kick off July 2nd at the BB King House of Blues in New York City. Additional stops include Los Angeles on July 9th, New Orleans on July 23rd and
Chicago on July 30th.
MTV2 will broadcast special editions of its popular "Sucker Free Sundays" programming block from the tour beginning at 12pm ET/ 9am PT on Sunday, July 10th and Sunday, July 17th. In addition, "MTV2 Hip Hop" will also broadcast special Sucker Free Concert Series editions airing each night at 6pm ET/ 3pm PT the week of July 11th.
