J Biz is the alter-ego of Jonathan Russell, born in the Bronx, New York and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey. Before he started spewing out addictive rhymes, he wrote lyrics first which reflected his and his friends' experiences growing up. J Biz is not just any casual observer - he's one who studies people and spins their hardships into triumphant music. 'I'm trying to put out music that not only benefits my self-content but also places joy, emotion, and inspiration in the hearts of listeners', J Biz says.
J Biz already has three EPs under his belt but he's about to add another champion project with album titled Goals Wins And Victories (G.W.A.V.). He has showcased his monstrous talent throughout New Jersey and New York clubs and lounge scenes alike. This ubiquity has led him to be featured at BET's 106 & Park live show, the Giant Stadium Fair, multiple RIX Magazine venues, Wall Stadium, and Bam Margera's Skate Park. His songs have been on continuous rotation on multiple NY/NJ local radio stations all the way to Atlanta's Boss Lady Ent. Show.
