Pleasure P will pay a special visit to Simeon High School Students on Chicago's Southside for an appearance and small performance to promote non violence and positivity.
Marcus Cooper, better known as Pleasure P, will be gracing Simeon High School with his presence on Wednesday May 13, 2009 to participate in a non violent youth initiative. This event will consist of a panel discussion featuring Pleasure P, Noonie G, E.M.I recording artist Slique, and WGCI's morning riot host Toni Scoffield along with a few others. The panel will be moderated by V103's Ramonski Luv.
Other guest speakers include Natasia Barr, Coach Eric Morris & Warren XX. The purpose of the event is to offer alternative choices to violence and to display a positive message. ABOUT PLEASURE P: Merriam-Webster defines pleasure as, 'a state of gratification; a source of delight or joy.' Similarly singer/songwriter Marcus 'Pleasure P' Cooper has composed his own unique brand of expression surrounding maturation and life lessons learned that connect to his personal joy.
The Carver Ranches, Florida native and former member of the teen heartthrob group Pretty Ricky has not only grown on his journey to now, he's found more ways to connect to his source of gratification, noting that 'a lot of people thought I wasn't going to amount to anything.'
For his Bluestar/Atlantic Records solo debut release, The Introduction of Marcus Cooper which is due in stores on June 9, 2009, Pleasure P is singing about just how far he has come in his 23 years of life, and why it is so important for him to keep moving forward.
