SYDNEY, Australia (Sony BMG) - He's the hottest name in US R&B, and Aussie fans will be able to catch Mario LIVE when he joins the bootylicious babes of Destiny's Child as special guest on their Oz tour next week. Mario will also be performing at the upcoming Logie Awards... 18-year-old R&B phenomenon Mario has just been confirmed as the support act for the three bootylicious babes of Destiny's Child on their Australian tour next week, AND announced as one of the headline acts to perform at this year's TV Week Logie Awards in Melbourne on May 1!

Mario has turned the urban world on it's head in the last six months, stealing the No 1 spot on the Billboard charts for eight consecutive weeks with his current smash single 'Let Me Love You' (a Platinum Top 3 hit here) and smashing records all over the place with the song, including beating out Usher for the title of US All Time Audience Record (a staggering 184.6 million listeners).

But Mario's star doesn't stop shining there...'Let Me Love You' is just one of the many amazing cuts from his new album 'Turning Point', which is also topping the charts and amassing critical and public acclaim right around the globe for it's compelling and refreshing spin on R&B.

Keen to embrace the 'Let Me Love You' star, Aussie fans sent 'Turning Point' - featuring production from the likes of Scott Storch (Beyonce, 50 Cent), crunk-master Lil? Jon (Usher, Ludacris), Underdogs (Ruben Stoddard, Tyrese) and Harold Lilly (Alicia Keys, Monica) - straight into the Top 20 on release.

While in Australia with Destiny's Child, Mario will be promoting both 'Turning Point' and 'Let Me Love You' with a stack of appearances and interview...more on that coming soon!

You're going to be hearing the name Mario a lot in 2005, especially over the next few weeks. Tune in to catch him winning hearts with his live performance at the 47th annual TV Week Logie Awards on May 1 and don't miss him live on stage with Destiny's Child at the following venues:
Thursday, April 21 - Brisbane Entertainment Centre
Saturday, April 23 - Sydney Superdome
Monday, April 25 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre (sold out)
Tuesday, April 26 - Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
