New York (Top40 Charts/ Action Promotions PR) - Reggae Artist Monsoon performs for the first time in Canada. He's makes his debut appearance for "Champions in Action", one of Canada's largest reggae shows November 27, 2009. Fans will get to hear Monsoon's recent hit song, 'As Salaam Alaikum (Mama Africa) which currently sits at No 6 on the International Reggae Singles Chart. Champions in Actions is presented by Action Promotions and Presidential Click.

This star studded event will take place at the Kool Haus Entertainment Complex at 132 Queens Quay East (downtown Toronto) on Friday November 27th, 2009. The most talked about event will feature performances by Mr. Vegas; Spice; Gyptian; Chino; I-Wayne; I-Octane; Laden and Ikaya (Coco Tea and Anthony B who were on the original bill, cannot attend due to a previously scheduled tour). There will also be a surprise guest artist from Jamaica as well as a special appearance from U.S. recording artist Monsoon. The following Canadian talents will be opening the show: Eyesus; Exco Levi; Razor B; Steele and One Shott.

Additional entertainment will be provided by Swatch International; Firesquad; Riddim Track Master Spex; Nitro da CD Sound and Crystal Vibes. The evening will also feature a dance performance by Ziptop and dance group Champs United.

"We recognized that Fans were disappointed when the previously planned show was cancelled for reasons beyond our control", said Eric, owner of Action Promotions. Some community organizations felt a certain performance would be offensive and they planned to protest if that artist took the stage. In the interest of limiting the potential to incite a riot, the show was cancelled. Action Promotions offered to remove the artist in question from the bill to allow the show to continue, but the Crime Unit felt that removing the artist would still incite a riot because this artist was one of the headliners on the bill, and fans were not given enough notice of his removal.
We hope the new date, venue and line up will help to make up for the disappointment felt by so many.
Tickets are available from November 7th. Doors open at 9pm, and show time is 10pm sharp!
