Teairra Mari Official Website) - Since its post at 2:00AM Monday January 12th the world premiere music video, "Hunt for You" received more than 1,000,000 views on http://www.worldstarhiphop.com. The single, "Hunt for You" is the lead song and from Teairra Mari's forthcoming album entitled, At The Point, due in stores in the coming months. "I am ecstatic about the interest in my new music video. My team and I have worked really closely together on this project and we are all excited. I am just eager to show the world who I am," says Teairra in response to the millions of early views. The single which was released Dec 23, 2008 continues to receive favorable responses on concreteloop.com, bossip.com and mediatakeout.com. The music video for "Hunt for You" was directed by video director, veteran Benny Boom.
About Teairra Mari
Teairra Mari's project became the first collaboration with the newly-crowned President of Def Jam Records, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. Jay-Z and L.A. Reid recruited hit-making songwriter Sean Garrett ("Lose My Breath"; "Goodies"; "Yeah!") to help translate Teairra Mari's innermost thoughts and emotions into lyrics.
Teairra Mari's very first single, "Make Her Feel Good", went to 9* on the Urban charts and Top 15 on the Rhythm charts. In 2005 her debut album, released on Def Jam Records/ Roc-A-Fella Records, bowed at 2 at Urban & Top 5 at Pop. The much-anticipated sophomore project from Teairra Mari will be released in the coming months. The first single "Hunt for You", is a radio-friendly track about being in a relationship with a guy who begins changing and the female is on the hunt for the person they fell in love with.
