Thom Yorke Tops List Of Most Legally Downloaded Artists On BitTorrent In 2014

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) BitTorrent has released data on the most legally downloaded artists of 2014, and none other than Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke tops the list.

In September, Yorke released his sophomore solo album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes exclusively through BitTorrent as a digital download. "It's an experiment to see if the mechanics of the system are something that the general public can get its head around," he explained upon the album's initial release. "If it works well it could be an effective way of handing some control of internet commerce back to people who are creating the work."

Diplo, De La Soul, and Hundred Waters were among other artists who saw their music legally downloaded on BitTorrent.
