New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 7LIONS Official Website) 2101 recording artists 7Lions have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks. The band is getting kudos for their "LA Kings/Born 2 Run" Stanley Cup theme, a remix of their upcoming single "Born 2 Run" that was created in cooperation with 98.7 FM, sister station AM 570 and the LA Kings. The response to the remix and single has been so great that 7Lions were asked to perform it on the KTLA Morning News in Los Angeles to spur on the LA Kings fans just days before the Kings won the Stanley Cup!
In addition, 7 Lions will be performing at the Sunset Sessions Rock convention in Palm Springs, CA on June 22nd to debut songs from their upcoming 2101 EP Born 2 Run, set for release on June 19, 2012. This spectacular event was created to expose today's tastemakers to the brightest new stars of tomorrow with a cadre of music industry professionals including radio, artist management and music publishing executives, music supervisors and media all in attendance.
7Lions are no strangers to having their music covered by sports. The official video for "Born 2 Run" was debuted on ESPN
Music and has already been used during television broadcasts for NASCAR, the NFL, MLB, The French Open and the Australian Open amongst others. It's no wonder that "Born 2 Run" was the song that caught the attention of Grammy-winning producer RedOne, who signed the band to his 2101 Records upon hearing the infectious sound.
7Lions are led by the hard-edged vocals of singer/guitarist Forrest Fulmer and the hip-hop poet himself, rapper Mika "Prophet" Guillory. The group also features catchy hooks from lead guitarist Will Carpenter and electronic influence from keyboardist and producer
Morgan Reid. Together with a beat-driven low end from bassist
Daniel Hange and a killer sound from uber-drummer Tony Tomassi, 7Lions is set to rock the world.
The "Born 2 Run" EP was Executive Produced by RedOne. All songs were produced by
Morgan Taylor Reid except for the title track which was produced by RedOne and co-produced by
Morgan Taylor Reid. "Born 2 Run" is set for release on June 19, 2012 and will include the self-titled single as well as four new songs; "Taking Over," "One Man Symphony," "
