Downtown Strikes Worldwide Agreement With Chart-Topping NEEDTOBREATHE
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Downtown Music Publishing announced today that they have entered into worldwide administration deal with current chart-topping alternative rock band, NEEDTOBREATHE. The announcement comes with their recently released 6th studio albumH A R D L O V E soaring to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Album Sales and Rock charts, while entering the Billboard 200 at No. 2.

Through this deal, Downtown will administer the Grammy-nominated band's six studio albums to date, H A R D L O V E (2016), Rivers in the Wasteland (2014), The Reckoning(2011), The Outsiders (2009), The Heat (2007), Daylight (2006), as with all future works.

Of the signing, Bear, NEEDTOBREATHE's lead vocalist said on behalf of the group, "We're really excited to be teaming up with Downtown as we release this new album. They've built a great, forward-thinking company and we're proud to join their roster."

H A R D L O V E, a 12-song impassioned, anthemic alt-rock album features several highlights including the lead single "HAPPINESS," which has enjoyed a steady climb at multiple radio formats and was recently featured in Microsoft's new ad campaign. The track's success follows the band's highest charting single to date -- "Brother (feat. Gavin DeGraw)" - which was recently certified RIAA Gold.

Band manager, Steve Bursky at Foundations Artist Management, added "I've long-admired the team at Downtown and the work they do on behalf of their writers. I couldn't be happier to be in business with such a talented group of people."

Downtown's Executive Vice President, Jedd Katrancha commented on the deal saying,"We're thrilled to partner with such a creative and hard-working band and their impressive team. With each release, they take their music to new heights and we feel fortunate to join them as they share this great album with the world."

On the heels of their successful launch of H A R D L O V E, the group is gearing up for TOUR DE COMPADRES, their 2016 tour across 50+ cities, which will bring them to renowned music venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Aragon Ballroom in Chicago and Beacon Theatre in New York City.
