New York (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - On October 22, The Morrison Hotel Gallery will present the most extensive exhibition of Jim Marshall's photography yet. The man regarded by many as 'THE rock and roll photographer' will be on hand at the opening signing copies of his long-awaited book, 'Trust: Photographs of Jim Marshall,' out this month on Omnibus Press. The exhibit will feature some never-before-seen photos culled from Marshall's expansive archive as well as some of Marshall's most iconic images including:
Jimi Hendrix basking in the fiery destruction of his Fender Stratocaster at the Monterey Pop Festival, photos of The
Beatles at the final concert at San Francisco's Candlestick Park Stadium where Marshall was the only photographer allowed backstage, a defiant, bird-flipping

About Jim Marshall
A son of San Francisco, Marshall's favorite subjects are musicians, and his 40-years of extraordinary photography include very special shots of Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, and other stars in the rock music hegemony. Unlimited access to the musicians coupled with an inviolate sense of trust between subject and photographer allowed Marshall special opportunities. Since he demanded total access, Marshall lived 24-7 with his subjects, and his pictures reflect affection for the artists as they describe the musicians' character. Marshall has said it's no accident if his pictures seem musical because, "I see the music."
