Indiana Musicians Plotting A Course For Success
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Indianapolis southern rock artist Outlaws & Moonshine are putting it all out there and leaving nothing left to chance when it comes to reaching for the stars and achieving a lifetime goal of letting the world hear their music.

Formed by brothers Beau and Chris (Van) VanVolkenburgh, Outlaws & Moonshine has been a long time coming and a dream come true. Beau and Chris played in different bands throughout their music years with Beau advancing through the ranks only to be courted by Geffen, Elektra, and Polygram Records. Almost signing a major label deal, Beau decided against the deal when the label wanted to change members in the band once the deal was inked. It was then that Beau decided to leave music and give it up.

"It's always been about the music but it is also about doing things our way and the right way. Most folks just do not understand that when it comes to bands and music. If it can't be that way I won't do it." says songwriter and lead vocalist Beau Van.

It wasn't until years later that bassist Chris Van was starting a new project and needed solid songs that the idea of playing in a band with his brother could and would finally happen. What better way to lure his brother out of retirement than to ask him to write songs for a new project knowing all along that Beau could not sit idly by letting others use his songs. It was at this moment that Outlaws & Moonshine was born.

Beginning their search for musicians to complete the band, Outlaws & Moonshine wasted no time in writing and recording their first single. Using studio musicians, Beau and Chris entered Red V Studios in New York in March 2015 to record the single 'Whiskey' and using that one song landed a record deal with Maryland independent label HighVolMusic. The single and video for 'Whiskey' were released in May 2015 to an overwhelming reception by music fans nationwide. With radio and press picking up on the song, it was time to escalate their musician search.

While continuing their search Beau wrote four more songs at the request of their new label for an E.P.. In July 2015, Beau and Chris went back to New York to record the final four songs for their upcoming E.P. with renown producer Vic Rivera. Upon returning home the brothers didn't have to look any further in their search. Two of their initial choices had become available, drummer Eric Piper and guitarist Mike Back.

With the final four intact Outlaws & Moonshine is a now a solidified musical group and are preparing for the release of their debut E.P. titled 1919 on October 16, 2015. The title is based around the band's interest in the prohibition era and the music genre is pure southern rock mixed with outlaw country. 1919 features five full tracks of hooks, lines and memorable melodies as penned and sung by front man Beau Van. The track titles in order are: 1. Cootie Brown, 2. Whiskey, 3. Hey Y'All, 4. Redneck Me, 5. Different Kind of Man. The E.P. will be distributed through MRi/Sony Red for North America, Cargo Records for Europe, and Valleyarm for the Asian Pacific. A teaser of the release can be heard at: https://youtu.be/-RsVBQ1xOZE

Outlaws & Moonshine has already completed a second video for their next single Hey Y'All. The video will feature the new four piece band and will lead out the release of 1919 just in time for the bands inaugural performance at Rock 'N Skull 2015 on Friday October 16th. They are also booking a fall tour to support the release.

"We've come along way in such a short amount of time and we've accomplished a lot but we still have so far to go. The music industry is massive and trying to make it is one in a million. The current interest in our music and what we are doing is phenomenal and we hope it continues to go viral and grow exponentially. We get to do it our way and we have a great support team in our label and management who believe in all that we do. That is more than we can ask for." - Chris Van

With a bright horizon in view and a solid upcoming release with more new music to follow, Outlaws & Moonshine continue to work hard and move forward in their quest for success.
