Daniel Jacome and fellow members of his band, Los Tercer Mundo, decided to shoot their newest 'pop electronic' video at Casa Ceibo Boutique Hotel & Spa (https://www.casaceibo.com), they simply knew the luxurious destination would be the ideal backdrop for their latest hit, "
Abrazame". The elite hotel is exotic and unforgettable. It speaks to living the good life, embracing romance, diving into dreams, and celebrating what's before you.
"Both the song and the video reflect the importance of 'seizing the day' and capitalizing on the opportunities, such as romance, that can then follow," says Jacome, who not only drums for the band but co-owns Casa Ceibo with Charlie Van Diver, a Florida-based developer. "Everyone in the video is indulging in a glamorous, hip-hop style poolside party at Casa Ceibo, complete with gorgeous Ecuadorian ladies, bubbly champagne, and lots of flirtatious fun. The models we featured are actually beauty queens representing nearby provinces — from Manta, Manabi and Chone, to name a few. We're all sort of pretending to be 'the rich and famous,' soaking in Casa Ceibo's high-end, exclusive surroundings and tapping the sensual energy of the music and people within it."

Abrazame" represents a new direction for Tercer Mundo, which has adopted an "electronic pop" vibe with its latest album. Since its December 2011 release, the song has reached number-one with multiple Ecuadorian radio stations and is quickly climbing charts nationally. The videography is the work of Xavier Jacome (no relation to the band), who has shot a number of rock videos that have topped Ecuador's music charts.
The video's official release/press conference took place Jan. 10, 2012, at the headquarters of Discos Del Mundo, the record label behind the new album. "
Abrazame" is airing on Ecuador's major networks, and Tercer Mundo is marketing to international markets, including MTV Latin. "
Abrazame" and other songs from the new album will be played on upcoming tours throughout Ecuador and the United States (April/May 2012).
