New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Orchestral folk/rock group Mike Mangione & The Kin released their new album But I've Seen The Stars last October and today the group has released a new music video for the single "Riding Down." The video premiered with Country Fancast, telling a spellbinding story that looks more like a trailer for a new Netflix series than a music video.

"We wanted imagery that played with freedom vs. being bound…so we tied me up and set that kid off on a journey. Truth is, we are always somewhere between those two places and this song/video is meant to add imagery to that reality," says Mangione.

Up until 2014, Mike led the group Mike Mangione & The Union, alongside his brother Thomas. After they dissolved, Mike began spending time in the Northwoods of Wisconsin to focus on writing his fifth studio record. In addition to having his brother in the fold, Mangione was in need of an accomplished rhythm section for the project. He reached out to friends, Josh Collazo (drums) and Seth Ford-Young (bass) of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Later, Mangione was introduced to Chauntee and Monique Ross of the band Sistastrings. Their musicality on violin and cello, as well as beautiful vocal harmonies won Mike over. Having two sets of siblings in the group sparked the new moniker Mike Mangione & The Kin and resulted in a gentle, shining new effort.

But I've Seen The Stars is available via RODZINKArecords now on iTunes.

"unique folk-rock driven sound supported by an orchestrated string section....What began as just a guitar riff would become the soulful country-rooted track" - Huffington Post

"blending folk-rock with an orchestrated string section to winning effect." - Relix Magazine

"a shining example of grounded bluesy folk with indie undertones" - Cowboys & Indians
