Mishka / Hard Rock Pre-parties For Corona Presents 'Kenny Chesney Going Coastal Tour 2011'
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Rogers & Cowan) jk livin artist Mishka has been tapped to perform the official Hard Rock pre-parties for the 2011 Corona Presents Kenny Chesney's "Goin' Coastal" tour. The pre-parties kick off March 16 at Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, Florida, in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and will continue throughout the duration of Chesney's 2011 tour at select Hard Rock Cafe locations across the country. Mishka, the internationally renowned, chart-topping Roots/Reggae artist, who is also the face of surf-culture clothing giant O'Neill's new eco-friendly apparel line ECO'Neill, will perform a 75-minute set followed by a meet-and-greet and signing of his current release Talk About, which debuted No 1 on the iTunes Reggae Chart.

Talk About was co-produced by Butch Walker (Pink, Fall Out Boy) and jk livin label head Matthew McConaughey, marking Mishka's fourth album to date, his second for jk livin. It's outside the box of traditional roots-reggae, adding a mainstream rock influence.

In lieu of a cover charge for Hard Rock's pre-parties, non-perishable food donations will be collected to support a local food shelter in each region. Hard Rock's pre-party events will precede the country superstar's 2011 Corona Presents Kenny Chesney's "Goin' Coastal" tour stadium dates in each respective market. Chesney, an avid music fan, has traditionally embraced a wide cross section of artists, from Kid Rock to Dave Matthews to Grace Potter, his finger is always on the pulse.

Now a Mishka fan, Chesney comments: "The music that Mishka makes and the songs that he's written are just so universal. It's the kind of music that I love to listen to. It's very relatable and very truthful. Man, you gotta look this guy up on iTunes."

The launch of the 2011 Corona Presents Kenny Chesney's "Goin' Coastal" tour marks Chesney's biggest tour in five years. The nearly 60-date North American tour includes eleven shows at NFL stadiums. Chesney set the record for most sold-out shows ever by an artist at two stadiums: Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., where tickets for his sixth sold-out show were gone in just eight minutes, and Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field stadium, where Chesney will take the stage for his fourth sold-out performance. He also stands as the only artist in any genre to sell one million concert tickets for eight consecutive summers. To date, Chesney has sold more than 30 million albums and is a four-time Country Music Association and four-in-a-row Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year recipient.

Mishka's first jk livin album Above The Bones (2009) debuted at No 1 on the Billboard Reggae Charts, followed by a major world tour. He provided the soundtrack of the summer with two features of his soulful island melodies: a music video for the title track, featuring the iconic Venice Beach Boardwalk, which premiered across the Yahoo! Entertainment network in June 2009, and a selection by Starbucks Entertainment and iTunes for their music discovery program "Pick of the Week," that was available at Starbucks locations nationwide. By year's end, he was named "Best New Artist in the singer/songwriter category by iTunes. The Maui-based singer/songwriter spent most of his early life on a boat in the Caribbean, sailing from island to island with his seafaring parents and older sisters. As a child of the islands, it was almost inevitable that he'd be drawn to reggae, Rastafari, and the natural mystic that inhabit his music and soul.
