Music Legend Jerry Garcia's Artwork Now Being Celebrated In Art Museum In France
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The GarciaWeirGallery.com is honored to announce that for the very first time, the multi-talented Jerry Garcia will have his artwork on public display in a museum setting. Jerry's daughter, Keelin Garcia, and his wife, Manasha, donated several pieces of the late virtuoso's artwork recently to the Centre National d'art Contemporain Le Magasin located in Grenoble, France, to be displayed in the "Art In Pop" Exhibition running from October 11, 2014 thru January 4, 2015.

Garcia's work is being presented along with other musician artists who have practiced art throughout the years, intermingling the world of art and music. The exhibition displays the works of art in a succession of rooms dedicated to the individuals and/or themes presented.

"Our family is very honored and grateful to Le Magasin for creating this first opportunity to showcase my father's works publicly in a museum setting," said Garcia's daughter Keelin.

Although the world has been blessed to have experienced Garcia's musical talents in his 30-year run with the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, the man, was much more than his Grateful Dead persona shared. As a youth, he attended art classes at the San Francisco Art Institute and over his lifetime, produced over 2,000 original pieces of artwork.

Garcia once surmised, "A line on paper is like a note in the air; it's out there and you can't take it back." He worked without a plan, using quality watercolors and Prismacolor pencils which have enabled his work to be almost fully archivable.

"My husband, Jerry, spent many days at home creating his wonderful artwork," said Manasha. "It was always a joy to see how much he loved painting and drawing. We are so very pleased that his art will now be seen in Le Magasin. His work truly stands on its own merit."
