LOS ANGELES (Maverick Records) - The newest band on the Maverick Records roster, AMERICAN HI-FI, is not wasting any time before their new album drops. After signing to Maverick, the band hit the road as Butch Walker's back-up band on the Avril Lavigne Fall tour, which wrapped up on November 25th in Canada.
After a brief break for the Thanksgiving holiday, AMERICAN HI-FI will hit the road again on a co-headlining U.S. trek with pal Butch Walker starting December 4 in Raleigh, NC. When that tour wraps up, the group will take another quick break for the Christmas holidays before they jump aboard the Bowling For Soup tour heading out on January 4 in Amarillo, TX (see attached for full itineraries of both tours).

AMERICAN HI-FI is not new to the continuous touring circuit. After releasing 2001's self-titled "American Hi-Fi," the album's first single, "Flavor of the Weak" quickly climbed the charts and put the band on the map. In 2003, the band released their sophomore follow-up, "The Art of Losing," and again found success with the album's title track. Over the three-year period between album cycles, the band toured with many high-profile artists; Matchbox 20, Eve 6, Our Lady Peace, Sum 41, Elvis Costello and Phantom Planet.

The group's Maverick debut, "Hearts on Parade" was produced by Butch Walker with AMERICAN HI-FI and is set for release in March 2005. The themes on this new album reflect the transitions shaped largely by the bands relocation to Los Angeles and dealing with the search for a new record label.
AMERICAN HI-FI is Stacy Jones (vocals), Jamie Arentzen (guitar), Drew Parsons (bass) and Jason Sutter (drums).
