Bhintuna International Brings Ani Choying "The Buddhist Rock Star Nun" To USA On A Unity & Hope Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Bhintuna International) ANI CHOYING DROLMA is embarking on a tour- UNITY & HOPE TOUR 2017 from June 3 - June 25, 2017. She will be performing live concert in six cities- Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Washington DC & Boston. She will be accompanied by her band, which includes, Nhyoo Bajracharya, a renowned music composer from Nepal, Gopal Rasili, music arranger and guitarist and Raman Maharjan renowned percussionist.

Ani Choying Drolma is a Nepalese Buddhist nun and musician from the Nagi Gompa nunnery in Nepal. She is known in Nepal and throughout the world for bringing many Tibetan Buddhist chants and feast songs to mainstream audiences. She is the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to Nepal.

The Buddhist Rock star Nun - Ani Choying was born on June 4, 1971, in Kathmandu, Nepal, to Tibetan exiles. She entered monastic life as a means of escape from her physically abusive father, and she was accepted into the Nagi Gompa nunnery at the age of 13. In 1994, guitarist Steve Tibbett's visited the nunnery and eventually recorded much of the Tibetan music with Ani Choying on two albums. The recordings, titled Chö and Selwa, were released to critical acclaim. Tibbetts and Ani Choying embarked on small performance tours, which included shows at several historical Tibetan monasteries.

Her philanthropic work includes Arya Tara School, which was opened in 2000. Arya Tara School aims to help young nuns bring their compassion into fruition, actively, effectively, skillfully and meaningfully.

She supports all her charitable work from the income through her musical endeavors. In 1997, Ani began performing and recording Cho for audiences around the world, connecting Westerners to Tibetan culture and music.

"A singer who sings for a cause"— Though she sings professionally, her earnings go towards charity and social work. That's commendable.

Her tour will not only support all the philanthropic projects Ani Choying is taking care of, but also, will help raise funds for different organizations in local areas to build Hindu & Buddhist temples.
