BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Sire Records) - Finland's Love-Metal heroes HIM will release their first-ever official live CD/DVD, titled "Digital Versatile Doom: Live At the Orpheum Theatre XXXVII A.S." - on Sire Records on April 29th, 2008. The package captures the band's explosive 90-minute show filmed at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theatre on Nov. 14 and 15, 2007, while extras allow fans to go behind the scenes both onstage and off with frontman Ville Valo.

"Digital Versatile Doom" features live versions of songs from HIM's current album "Venus Doom," including the singles "The Kiss of Dawn," "Passion's Killing Floor," and "Bleed Well," as well as their music videos. The DVD also features tracks off the band's 2005 U.S. debut, the gold-certified "Dark Light," including "Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly" and "Killing Loneliness." Other extras on the DVD include band interviews, fan contest clips, and the music videos for "Bleed Well," "Venus Doom," and "The Kiss of Dawn." The concert and several of the videos were directed by MTV and Grammy-Award winning director Meiert Avis, known for his work with U2, Audioslave, Bruce Springsteen, and Avril Lavigne.

Fans will also be able to watch the journey of HIM's biggest fans as they travel to Seattle to meet the band, see the heartagram photo gallery, and watch Ville recount the journey that was the making of "Venus Doom."

After conquering the rest of the world with chart-topping albums and sold-out tours, HIM won over America with "Dark Light," the first album by a Finnish band to be certified gold in the U.S. In 2007, "Venus Doom" elevated the band's summer-of-love-gone-goth to even harder and heavier heights. Released in September, the album debuted at No. 12 in the U.S. and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Boxed/Special Limited Edition Packaging. Last year, HIM supported Metallica in Europe before joining the Linkin Park-headlined Projekt Revolution tour across America, then headlined its own U.S. theater tour.
