Modern rock quintet RED's Grammy-nominated debut album END OF SILENCE is re-released this month through SonyBMG's Epic label. The album's just-released third single, 'Already Over,' is sparking airplay on dozens of rock radio stations nationally, combining the band's passionate, melodic vocals and compelling, heartfelt songcraft with stately classical strings, and a breathtaking industrial-weight wall of rocking guitar noise.
A music video directed by the Fackrell Brothers, has been shot in Los Angeles for mid-March distribution.
Originally released in June, 2006 through SonyBMG's Provident Label Group and its powerful independent (and co-incidentally named) RED Distribution arm, END OF SILENCE has already achieved over 200,000 album sales - fueled by the band's non-stop touring, and the top 10 performance of the bracing first single 'Breathe Into Me' on the Active Rock airplay chart, peaking in mid-2007.
By the fourth quarter of 2007, public demand prompted the release of a deluxe edition of END OF SILENCE, adding on bonus DVD a live concert in 5.1 surround sound; the 'Breathe Into Me' music video; and behind-the-scenes footage from the studio and the road. RED's busy tour schedule continues this spring in dates with
3 Doors Down and Seether/Flyleaf.
The rabid enthusiasm of RED's fan following has not surprisingly spilled over from their jammed, explosively energetic headlining concerts and tours with Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, Buckcherry, and Sevendust, into cyberspace: the band's 131,000 friends on their MySpace.com page and other visitors have generated well over 5 million song streams, including over two million for 'Breathe Into Me,' and nearly a million already for the new single 'Already Over.'
A close, multi-leveled bond with their fans is a keystone of RED's extended take-off moment: while playing over 250 shows a year, they responded personally to an average of 400 fan e-mails per week, and posted regular video blogs from the road. Along the way, they've shared real-life victories, grief and lessons in growing and overcoming with their fans - making the END OF SILENCE a time to talk the talk and walk the walk.
RED (guitarist and chief songwriter Jasen Rauch, identical twins Anthony Armstrong on guitar and Randy Armstrong on bass, singer Mike Barnes and drummer Hayden Lamb) was formed when Pennsylvanians Barnes and the Armstrong brothers joined with Rauch and Lamb in Nashville, Tennessee. They worked on END OF SILENCE for nearly two years, honing songs in the studio with producer and co-writer Rob Graves and mix engineer Ben Grosse.
