New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Girlie Action) Rene has coined the term "Electric Latin Soul" a.k.a. ELS to describe his sound, which mixes the rock, hip hop, and electronic music he grew up with in the Bronx with the Latin soul of his parents' generation. He's kinda like a modern version of War or Tito Puente, but with the genre-bending of someone like Beck. His album, ELS, is out August 30th on National Geographic
