Scars On 45 Herald Debut Album With Major Spring Tour Itinerary; Upcoming Schedule Includes Headline Dates And Shows Alongside Ingrid Michaelson; Self-titled Collection Includes Breakthrough Hit Single "Heart On Fire"!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records/ Chop Shop Records) Chop Shop/Atlantic recording group Scars on 45 has unveiled plans surrounding the release of their hugely anticipated debut album. "SCARS ON 45" -- which includes the smash hit single, "Heart On Fire" -- arrives at last on April 10th.

Scars on 45 will herald the album's release with a wide-ranging live schedule, beginning with a headline show at the famed Troubadour in Los Angeles on March 5th. April will then see the Bradford, England-based quintet appearing at a few festivals and radio shows including Denver, Colorado's "AuNaturAlice" on April 19th sponsored by KALC Radio Alice.

From there, Scars on 45 will join Ingrid Michaelson for a major US tour, slated to get underway May 1st at Stubb's Amphitheatre in Austin, Texas and then continuing through a sold-out May 17 th date at New York City's Terminal 5 (see attached itinerary). For complete details and ticket information, please visit www.scarson45.com.

As if all that weren't enough, Scars on 45 -- who have only just wrapped a January/February tour which included sold out headline shows and support dates with The Fray -- will make their live national television debut on Friday, March 2nd with a live performance of "Heart On Fire" on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (check local listings).

"Heart On Fire" has proven a true breakthrough for Scars on 45, earning top 15 airplay at Triple A radio outlets nationwide, as well as top 30 play at Hot AC. In addition, the track's companion video was recently VH1's #1 most played clip for two consecutive weeks. "Heart On Fire" remains a top 10 favorite at VH1, where Scars on 45 were named the "You Oughta Know" artist in early 2012 for the month of January and February, placing them alongside such previous "You Oughta Know" successes as Adele, Mumford & Sons, and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. The band visited VH1 Headquarters in New York late last year, performing a short set that included an inventive rendition of Rihanna's blockbuster hit, "We Found Love (Feat. Calvin Harris)." The distinctively stripped-down cover can currently be heard at https://www.vh1.com/music/tuner/2011-11-29/scars-on-45-cover-rihannas-we-found-love, while the "Heart On Fire" video is streaming now at Scars on 45's official YouTube channel, located at www.youtube.com/user/scarson45.

"Heart On Fire" can be found now on Scars on 45's recently released "HEART ON FIRE" EP, which joined the band's debut EP, "GIVE ME SOMETHING," on Billboard's "Heatseekers Albums" chart of new and developing artists upon its release last year. The track is also included on Chop Shop/Atlantic's "GREY'S ANATOMY ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK VOLUME 4," the first new collection of music from and inspired by the hit ABC series in four years. "Heart On Fire" was featured in ABC's promotional campaign celebrating the series' new season. Previous songs highlighted in ABC's Grey's Anatomy promos include such breakthrough hits as Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" and The Fray's "How To Save A Life."

Both Scars on 45 and "Heart On Fire" have earned rapturous critical attention, including a feature interview on the nationally syndicated Extra. Entertainment Weekly placed "Heart On Fire" on their "The Must List," noting "you probably heard this rising Leeds quintet's dewy-eyed piece of Britpop... and still can't get it out of your head." A recent "On The Verge" feature in USA Today hailed Scars on 45 for their "emotional ballads and sweeping melodies," while Spin included the band in their "Next Big Things" issue based upon their "gorgeous melodies reminiscent of Coldplay."

Scars on 45 spent their early days together in a small studio space in Bradford, writing and recording a series of songs that brilliantly blended insistent melodies, uplifting energy, and enchanting co-ed vocals courtesy of singers Danny Bemrose and Aimee Driver. After a number of tracks were featured on such TV series as The Cleaner and CSI: New York, Scars on 45 were personally signed to Chop Shop Records by label founder Alexandra Patsavas, famed music supervisor for such films and TV shows as Twilight, Gossip Girl, and Grey's Anatomy.

Scars on 45's acclaimed Chop Shop/Atlantic debut EP, "GIVE ME SOMETHING," was released in January 2011 and quickly proved a sensation with its title track receiving top 5 airplay at Triple A radio outlets nationwide (peaking at #3 and placing the band among such like-minded artists as Adele, Coldplay, and Atlantic's own Death Cab for Cutie). "Give Me Something" remains a popular favorite, coming in at #12 on Amazon.com's "Best Songs of 2011" listing.

A charming and irrepressible live act, Scars on 45 spent much of the past year on the road, including multiple radio-sponsored events and music festivals such as Austin, Texas' world famous South by Southwest. The band celebrated the release of the "HEART ON FIRE" EP with a series of North American tours, including both headline shows and dates alongside The Fray, Matt Nathanson, Jack's Mannequin, and fellow Atlantic recording artist Marc Broussard.

Scars on 45 is: Danny Bemrose (vocals/guitar), Aimee Driver (vocals), David "Nova" Nowakowski (keyboards), Stuart Nichols (bass), Chris Durling (drums)
