BURBANK, CA (By
Amanda Hanson/ Warner Bros. Records) - Still reeling from a triumphant sold-out tour of the U.K., THE GOO GOO DOLLS return home for another North American tour in support of their new album "LET LOVE IN." The tour will sweep across the U.S. and Canada beginning November 4 in Seattle and wind down in Anaheim, California for a special New Year's Eve show.
The new video for album's title track and current single, "Let Love In," premiered on MySpace.Com on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. The clip was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by P.R. Brown (Death Cab For Cutie, Billy Corgan, Audioslave).
Fans will also be excited to know that a plethora of exclusive recordings have just become available in cyberspace only via iTunes and Rolling Stone Originals. A whopping 23 tracks have just become available on iTunes, many of them recorded live at Capitol Studios in Hollywood exclusively for online purchase. Another session was recorded exclusively for Rolling Stone Originals and features new live-in-the-studio versions of "Broadway," "Become," "Let Love In," and "Stay With You." These recordings are not available anywhere else.
The Goos have also just confirmed a few new television appearances in December beginning with their 15th appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday, December 14, 2006. NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" will tape the same day and air in early January 2007. The following day, Friday, December 15, the Goos will perform on NBC's "The Megan Mullally Show," also to air in early January.
Once again, GOO GOO DOLLS will support the USA Harvest organization along the tour by collecting food for distribution in each city, which in turn is distributed on the same night in every city they play. To date, the Goos have collected millions of meals for people in need. The band continues to urge fans attending the shows to bring canned food each night and drop it off at the collection points at the entrance of the venue.
