Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Valory Records) - Jimmy Wayne's new single, "Do You Believe Me Now," is No 1 this week on both the Billboard/ RR and USA Today/ Mediabase Country Singles charts. The single is the title track from Wayne's highly-anticipated first new album in 5 years which hit store shelves this past Tuesday. "Do You Believe Me Now" marks Wayne's first No 1 single as well as the first No 1 single for his label, The Valory Music Co.

Wayne's No 1 status was announced live to a national audience of more than 40 million Monday morning as he performed his single on the 43rd Annual Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon.

"I was in Vegas this weekend for the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon when I got the news that my single had gone No 1," says Wayne . "What a great feeling- my first No 1 record! I have said it before, but it's worth repeating - not many people get their first shot at living their dream, but I have been given two chances now, and I can't thank country radio, country music fans and my record label enough for all of their support. I am so appreciative, and know that this is a day I will never forget."

Wayne also joins the ranks of superstars Billy Joel, Elton John, George Strait, Daughtry, Tom Petty, Rihanna and KT Tunstall this week as he becomes the latest chart-topper to partner with Major League Baseball's Web site for an exclusive promotion on MLB.com/Entertainment.

Beginning today, Wayne will be featured as a "Hot Prospect" on www.MLB.com/Entertainment. The Country star recently stopped by the MLB studios in NYC to tape an exclusive in-studio performance and an interview with "The Dish" personality Jeremy Brisiel. Acoustic performances of Wayne's single "Do You Believe Me Now," and album track "I Will," are featured on the site along with his hit "Stay Gone." Wayne's artist page will also feature a photo gallery, in-depth article, snippets of each song from Wayne's new album and more.

MLB.com receives 10 million unique visitors each day and 2.61 billion visitors a year. MLB selects only 24 musical artists per year - across genres - to feature on its site.

Wayne is also Great American Country's "Artist of the Month" for September. Fans who visit www.GACTV.com will be delighted by the tribute to Wayne, which will feature exclusive in-studio acoustic performances of songs from the album as well as in-depth stories behind the songs on his new album. He is currently featured as the "Hot Guy of the Month" in the current issue of People magazine's Country Special. He has been featured on CMT, GAC, Fox News, The Daily Buzz and the ABC Family Channel as well as in the pages of Country Weekly, The Washington Times, The Tennessean, Billboard, Radio and Records and People magazine.
