Jay Z - "Lucifer" (prod. Kanye West): Daddy Abe flip
This is my interpretation of the modern classic off of "The Black Album." Kanye is a class producer and Jay Z is a top lyricist. Unfortunately the original version of this track is all about murdering people! I felt the Max Romeo sample was crying out for a triumphant good-vibes re-fix. Obviously this isn't the first. But it is refreshing to rhyme about "chasing the devil" from a finished-work perspective.
"Resist the devil and he shall flee from you," (James 4:7) because "Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it." (Colossians 2:15) Oh yes! Our victory has already been won, in Yeshua! Good news for all! :) :) :)
