La Frontera is a Spanish rock group , created in the mid-eighties, led by Javier Andreu and Toni Marmota. The band was founded in 1984 by Javier Andreu (vocals), Tony Marmota (bass), José Bataglio (drums), Quino Maqueda (guitar) and Rafa Hernández (guitar), a group of friends, advertising students, that they had met at the Faculty of Information Sciences in Madrid and that they were part of bands such as La Visión or Octubre. At first they would call themselves Las Muńecas Repollo, a name that was soon replaced by the title of one of the first songs, La Frontera at the suggestion of rock critic Jesús Ordovás
