Biography

Jesse & Joy is a Mexican pop duo formed in 2005 by brother and sister; Jesse (born December 31, 1982, as Jesse Eduardo Huerta Uecke) and Joy (born June 20, 1986, as Tirzah Joy Huerta Uecke), from Mexico City. Introduced in 2005 by Argentine-Mexican duo Sin Bandera at the 2005 Mexican Teletón, Jesse & Joy released their debut album Esta Es Mi Vida in 2006, through Warner Music Mexico. Their debut single, "Espacio Sideral", was certified Gold by the Asociación Mexicana de Productores de Fonogramas y Videogramas (AMPROFON). The album reached the top twenty on the Mexican Album Chart, was certified Platinum by the AMPROFON, and helped the duo to win the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist the next year.
In 2008, Jesse & Joy released the Extended Play Esto Es Lo Que Soy, and next year their second studio album Electricidad. The album, which reached its peak position at number twenty-one on the Mexican Album Chart, was certified Gold by the AMPROFON. Electricidad included songs like "Adiós", that peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, and "Chocolate". In 2011, ¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro? was launched as their third studio album. The album was certified 2× Platinum by the AMPROFON, and includes songs like "Me Voy", "¡Corre!" and "La de la Mala Suerte". At the 2012 Latin Grammy Awards, Jesse & Joy were nominated to four Grammy Awards, winning three of them: Best Contemporary Pop Album for ¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro?, and Song and Record of the Year for "¡Corre!". Additionally, Carlos López Estrada received the Latin Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video for "Me Voy". On December 5, 2012, ¿Con Quién Se Queda El Perro? received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Latin Pop Album.

Alejandro Sanz (born Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro; December 18, 1968) is a Spanish singer-songwriter and musician. For his work, Sanz has won a total of fifteen Latin Grammy Awards and three Grammy Awards. He has won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year three times, more than any other artist. The singer is noted for his flamenco-influenced ballads, but he has also experimented with rock, salsa, and hip hop.
Born in Madrid, Sanz began playing guitar at age seven, taking influence from his family's flamenco roots. Sanz released his debut album at age nineteen, although he did not gain commercial success in Spain until his second release, Viviendo Deprisa. His next two records, Si Tú Me Miras (1993) and 3 (1995) also fared well commercially, but it was his 1997 breakthrough album Más that garnered international success. El Alma al Aire followed in 2000, selling more than a million copies in its first week. In 2002, he became the first Spanish artist to record an MTV Unplugged album.
His collaboration with Shakira on the 2005 single "La Tortura" reached number one on several charts worldwide. His albums No Es lo Mismo (2003) and El Tren de los Momentos (2006) showed Sanz experimenting with more diverse styles of music, while his most recent release, Paraíso Express (2009) served as a return to form for the musician. He signed to Universal Music Group in 2011 and released his ninth studio album, La Música No Se Toca, on September 25, 2012, followed by Sirope on May 5, 2015.
