New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 4 Entertainment) On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, indie rock band GOODING releases their latest album, "We Are the Dark Stars."
The album, produced by Kendall Stephens (Robert Randolph,
Buddy Guy) continues the GOODING sound of honest Rock N' Roll with poignant lyrics and a tight LIVE band sound. This is the band's follow up to the critically-acclaimed "Buffalo" album released in 2013. The album is comprised of 11 songs that the band proudly calls "Our most raw, intimate record yet. You can hear the ghosts Americana creeping into this one, which was inevitable considering how much we travel the open roads of Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas."
The band is supporting the album on their USA
Spring and Fall 2014 Tour.
GOODING continues to support communities across the country with their Financial Literacy Tour, where they play schools along their tour route and introduce students to the reality of building their dreams slow and steady instead of believing the hype of overnight success.
GOODING's songs have been featured in over 50 film, television shows and commercials. The band members are Billy Driver (Bass),
Jesse Rich (Drums), Gooding (Guitar/Vocals), and Jenny Wood (Guitar/Vocals). Wood was an opening act for GOODING on past tours through Kansas and Oklahoma. She joins the band on the album, and full time on their 2014 tour.
"We are honored to have Jenny as a full-member of the band. Her vocals, guitar-playing and stage presence are off the charts, and making this record was a joy from beat one," says Gooding, the band's namesake.
