We Cut Corners Release New Album "Think Nothing"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ We Cut Corners official website) "This is just perfect guitar pop right here. The singer is wailing like a banshee and the drums are as loud as a jet engine. They're one of those bands that have constantly just gone under radar and it gets really really annoying.. "

RADIO 1- PHIL TAGGART
"We Cut Corners use spiky rebelliousness or gentle regret, taking to either form with aplomb"

THE 405
"What a brilliant debut album!" "5/5"
ARTROCKER
"We Cut Corners have created something that will stick for all the right reasons"
THE SUNDAY TIMES (Debut - Album Of The Week)

This follows the success of singles 'YKK' and 'BEST FRIEND', which have received airplay and reviews from the likes of Amazing Radio, XFM, MTV Hive, Contact Music, BBC London and BBC Northern Ireland. The band have enjoyed support from BBC Radio 6 presenter Tom Robinson and toured internationally with the likes of The Maccabees, Villagers and Frightened Rabbit along with sold out shows in Dublin and appearances at festivals including Forbidden Fruit, The Camden Crawl, Dublin and Iveagh Gardens (with Bell X1) amongst many more. WE CUT CORNERS are already making international headway in 2014 and the band will build on this with the release of 'THINK NOTHING'.

WE CUT CORNERS are guitarist John Duignan and drummer Conall O'Breachain. The duo have effortlessly established themselves in Dublin's indie-rock scene and have successfully developed their characteristic rock/pop style. They write their songs on both guitar and drums, developing skillful and sophisticated lyrics, spat with lucid precision and a subtle layer of dark humour. It's weird and wonderful, abstract at times, and brilliant. The combination of the duo and blending of their powerful unique vocal harmonies is principal to their success. THINK NOTHING is a diverse representation of WE CUT CORNERS musical prowess from 'YKK''s adventurousness to the downtempo suspense of 'EVERY THIEF'. 'HUNGER' demonstrates their musical poise and eloquent expressiveness. 'WALLFLOWERS' is a melodic and orchestral track that explicitly demonstrates that WE CUT CORNERS can do it all. The 405 say "...their style of communication through music is entirely their own". 'THINK NOTHING' has been mixed by Ben Hillier who has worked with artists such as Blur, The Horrors and The Editors and was mastered by Bunt Stafford-Clark, who has worked with the likes of Elbow and Placebo. WE CUT CORNERS take inspiration from Ryan Adams, The Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen and Radiohead, all the while creating their own brand of concise and articulate Indie, and presenting us with an intriguing and expansive live sound. Current single 'BEST FRIEND' is the perfect distillation of this.

'THINK NOTHING' is a flawless follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2011 debut album "TODAY I REALISED I COULD GO HOME BACKWARDS", which was nominated for The Choice Music Prize for Irish Album of the Year. The animated video for current single 'BEST FRIEND' will be premiered online in the coming days. The producers of the video, Polish duo Kijek / Adamski, were the same people behind WE CUT CORNERS' video for 'A PIRATES LIFE' which featured on the debut album and won Best Music Video at the Annecy International Animation Festival, and the video makers have been included in Pitchfork's Videos of the Year in 2013 for other work, so a tantalising visual experience can be expected.

Watch this space for imminent updates as WE CUT CORNERS settle on their path to expand internationally. Details of live dates to follow.
