NEW YORK (AP) - In the wake of the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington D.C., Beck will not attend Come Together: A Night For John Lennon, which is scheduled for September 20 at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, according to his official website. AP could not reach a spokesperson for the event at press time to inquire about other artists who may not make the tribute, or if it may be postponed. Artists initially slated to attend the John Lennon tribute include Alanis Morissette; Cyndi Lauper; Lou Reed; Marc Anthony; Moby; Nelly Furtado; Seal; Shelby Lynne; Stone Temple Pilots; and the Lennon family, Yoko Ono, Julian Lennon, and Sean Lennon. Eurythmics' Dave Stewart serves as musical director for the program, which is set to air October 9, Lennon's birthday, at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
