New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Doughboys were in top shape last night as they hit the stage with their array of 60's covers, "Coolest Songs In The World" and vibrant originals for a 2-hour nonstop live show. The 4 piece garage rock band from Plainfield NJ had fans coming from all parts of the tri-state area to see their stellar performance at Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ.
Their cover of the Rolling Stones classic "Midnight Rambler" was so amazing it would have made the Rolling Stones either proud or scared. We overheard fans in the crowd say "the Doughboy play this song better then the Rolling Stones themselves. I can't believe this band, they are so good".
Famous 60's garage rock covers were not the only songs that had the crowd, which grew to over a 1000, go wild. The Doughboys' original songs, like " Black Sheep", "Land" and many others had the audience begging for more.
Their encores had everyone dancing. The entire playlist was perfect and the crowd danced their young and old hearts out on the boardwalk next to the band and in the street in front of the stage.
So if you haven't experienced The Doughboys, catch them on September 6 at Hunterdon Fest,
Liberty Village Premium Outlets in Flemington at 5pm. You don't know what you're missing until you experience the Doughboys live.
