New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fresh off her new LP 'Fool's Gold,' Jill Barber will play a string of select full band US tour dates this September. Jill has had a busy summer - in addition to headlining some of the biggest festivals in her native Canada including Montreal Jazz Fest, her new LP 'Fool's Gold' took the #1 spot on the Canadian Billboard jazz charts for six straight weeks. The album is out in the US on Aug 26 via Outside Music. Full dates below.
Jill's live performances are sultry and sleek affairs - backed by a full band, she combines Brill Building-era Motown with the torch singing of Patsy Cline and Hank Williams.

Top40-Charts.com recently premiered the video for lead single "Broken for Good," calling it "a proto-Motown song, something that might have come out of New York's Brill Building in the early '60s," watch below:
Jill's last LP was the highest selling jazz album in Canada in 2011. She has collaborated with Josh Ritter, Ron Sexsmith, and Kris Kristofferson has called her a "damn good songwriter." Her last album also landed her a big national NPR segment - they called her "a 21st-century original."
In addition to her US run, Jill just announced a headline show at Toronto's legendary Massey Hall on November 15th.
