New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Boldly bearing the name Americana engraved on the peghead, this newest member of the Goodtime series of banjos features the wider Grand 12" rim with a rounder, warmer tone that old time banjo players have been asking for. The Goodtime Americana is particularly well suited for those who play the clawhammer/frailing style of banjo or who are looking for a greater bass response in their instrument. This banjo is created with a renaissance head that not only enhances this warmer tone, it complements the aesthetic of this banjo. Retailing for only $599, the Americana is available through all authorized Deering dealers and factory direct.

The Goodtime Americana has the same Deering slender maple neck shape known for its ease of play and is ideal for anyone to pick regardless of their hand size. The Americana also features an armrest, custom crafted Goodtime adjustable tailpiece, and full 22-fret scale. This new banjo has all the features that have made the Goodtime banjos the most popular American made banjo for over a decade. The light weight makes it easy to travel with and is ideal for those who want to take a walk on the wide side.

Deering Banjo Company was founded in 1975 as the world's specialist in banjos and has grown to become the largest manufacturer of American made banjos in the world. Located in Spring Valley, CA, Deering produces all of its quality 4-string, 5-string, 6-string, and 12-string banjos in the same US facility and boasts the most knowledgeable team in the industry. Always on the cutting edge of banjo innovation, Deering is proud to have artists such as Mumford and Sons, Steve Martin, Taylor Swift, Bela Fleck, The Lumineers, Keith Urban, the Avett Brothers, Jens Kruger, Dropkick Murphys, and many more play their banjos.
